Jimmy Ringel

Chief Operating Officer

As chief operating officer, Jimmy Ringel coordinates all property management functions of the firm’s apartment portfolio. Ringel also serves as the company’s director of marketing including corporate advertising and public relations, property advertising and marketing, leasing training, and economic and market research. Ringel is a certified property manager. He is past president of the Memphis Apartment Association, a position he held for two terms, as well as a past member of the Association’s Steering Committee. He is also past president of the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He also served a two-year term as president of Plough Towers, a non-profit, affordable housing facility for seniors. Jimmy is a member of the real estate fraternity Lambda Alpha.

Ringel is a graduate of The University of Michigan and holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University. He is an affiliate broker of the state of Tennessee. Prior to forming Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC, Ringel served as chief operating officer of Makowsky & Ringel, Incorporated, a Memphis-based real estate development, management, and brokerage company. Before that he worked for Grey Advertising and American Express, both in New York.
